Welcome to Shambhala Montpelier Meditation Group

Located in the capital city of Vermont, the Shambhala Montpelier Meditation Group has been gathering together for over 25 years in downtown Montpelier, Vermont and serves practioners throughout the central Vermont region.

PLEASE NOTE – due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the cost of renting a meditation space that cannot be used for the foreseeable future, the Montpelier Shambhala Center no longer has a physical practice space. We have begun to offer some on-line talks and classes (via ZOOM) so please check this website often for more details and other updates. We intend to keep our beloved community together during this challenging time and plan to rent a new space in which to gather and practice once the pandemic has subsided and a vaccine is widely available.

All are welcome to learn and practice meditation with us. Questions? Email us at: [email protected]

As part of the Shambhala International community of meditation and retreat centers we practice and study as part of the Shambhala lineage established by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.

We work as a community to contribute to a more enlightened society in Montpelier and Vermont. We aspire to do this with warmth, flexibility and a sense of humor. We also make our space available to other groups who practice meditation and contemplative arts.  Donations to support our all volunteer effort to provide a warm and welcoming meditation space and classes can be made here through our secure PayPal account.
