Welcome to Shambhala Montpelier Meditation Group

Located in the capital city of Vermont, the Shambhala Montpelier Meditation Group gathers together in it’s Shambhala meditation and community room at 5 State Street, 2nd floor in downtown Montpelier, Vermont.

Cheerful Year of the Iron Mouse!

All are welcome to learn and practice meditation with us. Please take a look at our ongoing offerings with regular sitting sessions, open houses and special programs, and just come on over and join in. Questions? Email us at: [email protected]

PLEASE NOTE – the Montpelier Shambhala Center will be temporarily closed until further notice, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, out of an abundance of care and sense of responsibility for our community. We have begun to offer some on-line talks and classes (via ZOOM) so please check this website often for more details and other updates. We have created a COVID-19 resource page here.

As part of the Shambhala International community of meditation and retreat centers we practice and study as part of the Shambhala lineage established by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.

We work as a community to contribute to a more enlightened society in Montpelier and Vermont. We aspire to do this with warmth, flexibility and a sense of humor. We also make our space available to other groups who practice meditation and contemplative arts.
