Open House

Wednesday, April 3rd  6 – 7:30 pm

Join us for our monthly Open House at Montpelier Shambhala.

Today, establishing a personal sitting meditation practice, sitting quietly and getting used to how our minds work is more important than ever. We are living in a land of desire, gadgetry and distraction in which we can easily miss the value of human life. The Buddha pointed to the basic marks of existence — to birth, old age, sickness, death and the cycling of samsara as the territory to investigate and to understanding our minds as the way to confusion dawning as wisdom.  This will be the subject area of our open house.

This month’s talk will be given by Ben Bashore who has been a student of the Buddhist and Shambhala teachings for 27 years.

Please join us. Tea and snacks will follow our practice, talk and discussion session.

All are welcome!  Free, though donations are always welcome.
