Open House

Wednesday, September 6   6 – 7:30 pm

Join us for our monthly Open House at Montpelier Shambhala.

Meditation instruction will be given, we’ll practice for a while and then a short talk will be offered, followed by a discussion, tea and snacks.

This month’s meditation instruction and a short talk entitled Change Your Mind, Change Your World, will be led by Suzanne Trahey.

Connecting with compassion towards ourselves as a first response to our challenging times, changes our mind and leads to changing our worlds.  Join us at the Montpelier Shambhala Group for a talk and discussion on compassion towards ourselves and why it’s important.

Suzanne Trahey has been a student of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, the lineage holder of Shambhala for 9 years.  She lived at Karme Choling Meditation Retreat Center in Barnet, Vermont for 5 years and served as the Deputy Director from 2012-2014.  Currently Suzanne is the Director of the Early Childhood Leadership Institute at the Snelling Center for Government in Williston.  She writes poetry and lives in beautiful Montpelier.

All are welcome!  Free, though donations are always welcome.
